prairie style

cheltenham - garden design - 2018

This client’s garden desperately called for some screening to allow some privacy from the neighbour’s garden, whilst also opening up a view to the park backing the garden. Our design introduced a new fence and included a large lawn with a raised timber bed, alongside feature prairie-style planting to provide architectural structure. The planting provides year-round interest, with colour in the summer and autumn, and grasses and seedheads from perennials giving an ethereal feel during the winter. A pathway constructed from reclaimed scaffold boards now leads to a rear terrace in a shadier part of the garden.
