This garden is located in a contemporary property Cheltenham’s Pittville Park, and a cool, contemporary planting design was needed to blend seamlessly with the house. The garden is largely shaded by nearby mature trees, so we brought in a sophisticated palette of whites and greens, with differing textures providing lots of interest. We planted a ‘tapestry lawn’ of Carex and spring bulbs to provide a solution to their shaded front garden where a traditional turfed lawn previously struggled to thrive. This had the added benefit for the client of reducing garden maintenance with regular mowing no longer required.
