Some gardens are created instantly, others are projects undertaken over many years. On moving in to the property the clients – keenly aware of local geography - knew they had a jewel on their hands, full of unusual shrubs, roses and native UK meadow flowers. They called in Modica Gardens to fill the borders and create distinct areas of colour which would complement the existing planting. Along with creating a ‘cricket pitch’ of meadow grass, a vibrant crab-apple paddock and floriferous long borders we bought in specialist shrubs from local nurseries to really tie the garden into its historical surroundings.
